Biography
Jeannie Constanza Hernández Vargas (Bogotá, April 23, 1987), known artistically as Constanza Hernández or Connie, is a Colombian stage, film, and television actress. She rose to fame for her portrayal of Helena in the play "Gorda" at the Teatro Nacional La Castellana between 2009 and 2010, a leading role that marked her professional debut and opened doors for her in the arts. She has participated in numerous Colombian productions and has solidified her career with roles in successful telenovelas and series. She began her career in theater and quickly transitioned to television with appearances in series such as "A corazón abierto" (2010), "La Teacher de inglés," "Chica vampiro," "Mentiras perfectas," "Fugitivos" (where she played Maribel Pardo), and "Metástasis." She gained wider recognition for her role as Francisca "Panchita" López in "Pasión de gavilanes 2" (2022) and for her work in "La negociadora" (2021). In film, she has stood out in productions such as Lokillo en: Mi otra yo (2021) and El paseo 8: La luna de hiel (2025), among others. For several years she has resided in Mexico City, where she has continued her acting career and faced personal challenges, such as vision problems that led her to undergo corneal transplants. In 2026, she appeared in the Netflix series María, la caprichosa. Nominated for a TVyNovelas Award for Best New Actress for La Teacher de inglés, she is recognized for her versatility and presence in both Colombian and international productions.
