Thiago Martins
Biography
Thiago dos Santos Martins (Rio de Janeiro, September 19, 1988) is a Brazilian actor, singer and songwriter. He began his career in the theater group Nós do Morro, a social project carried out with the residents of the Vidigal favela. His first appearance on television was in 1999, in a participation in the traditional Christmas special of presenter Xuxa entitled Uma Carta Para Deus. In 2002, he gained prominence playing Lampião, one of the members of the band of kids from Caixa Baixa, in the award-winning film Cidade de Deus. In the same year, he played João Victor, a middle-class teenager in the series Cidade dos Homens. He made his debut in soap operas in 2004, playing Sal in the soap opera Da Cor do Pecado, which took place thanks to a nomination by actress Giovanna Antonelli, with whom he starred in the film Maria-Mãe do Filho de Deus in 2003.
