Uldis Dumpis
Biography
Uldis Dumpis (born October 3, 1943, in Riga, Latvia) is a Latvian stage, film, and television actor, as well as a poet and translator. He has been a member of the Dailes Theatre since 1962 and has appeared in many Latvian and Soviet films, including The Long Road in the Dunes, The Fisherman’s Son, and Dangerous Summer. Dumpis is regarded as one of Latvia’s most recognizable actors, known for his warm and intelligent on-screen presence.
